Melvin Buckholtz comes from the Lac du Flambeau band of Ojibwe in Wisconsin as well as the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota. Traveled extensively throughout the country attending pow wows and ceremonies. Held several roles within the pow wow circle such as arena director, head singing judge, host drum and invited drum.
